Paula Millirons Women in Tech

Paula Millirons is the chief scientist at GeneCapture Inc. in Huntsville and co-inventor of the CAPTURE rapid protocol. CAPTURE is a technology used at clinics, field hospitals, and other “points of care” to detect infections quickly. Millirons is also the principal investigator on the company’s grants and contracts and leads the clinical assay team’s initiatives in rapid pathogen identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing. Before joining GeneCapture, she developed a successful tutoring business and a chemistry curriculum for the homeschool market. Millirons has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rhodes College and a master’s in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University.
